In order to prevent misuse of Payment Service Provider (PJP) services for transactions suspected of being related to illegal activities
including online gambling, Truemoney carries out strict operational procedures including checking every stage of activity carried out by users. The technology implemented by Truemoney in eradicating online gambling is:

The Know Your Customer (KYC) process that users must carry out when upgrading to a Premium Account. This is done to prevent identity theft and account misuse. If there are indications of the misuse mentioned above, TrueMoney will close the account or limit access for users who are proven to have misused it for illegal activities, including online gambling.

The prohibition on gambling practices is clearly stated in the Criminal Code (KUHP) Article 303 Paragraph (1). Meanwhile, online gambling practices are specifically discussed in the ITE Law Article 27 Paragraph (2) No.11 of 2008 and Article 45 Paragraph (2) No.19 of 2016. The penalty for the perpetrator is a maximum sentence of 6 years in prison and/or a fine of up to IDR 1 billion.
